In the winter of 2024, we helped Aperol Austria made its festive debut in the Vienna Christmas market scene. Combining our extensive experience Christmas market production and uniquely branded areas, we designed and built a highly visible and engaging, Aperol-themed Christmas market at Café Kunsthalle at Karlsplatz in Vienna. This small but vibrant market offered the perfect blend of branding, functionality, and holiday magic. We designed two unique huts and a beautifully themed terrace to immerse guests in the Aperol winter world.
Bar Hut
The bar hut was designed with a compact, functional layout to serve the perfect Aperol Spritz. We introduced a sleek tabletop with ample storage underneath, maximizing the small interior. LED-lit bottle stands and the signature Aperol light logo added a vibrant flair inside, while the exterior featured a variety of branding elements, including one of the largest LED Aperol logos we’ve ever created. Wooden accents on the front enhanced the winter look, completing the cozy, seasonal feel.
Shop Hut
The shop hut posed an exciting challenge of balancing practicality with an inviting display in a 2x3m space. To achieve this, we installed floating shelves and a display wall to showcase the exclusive Aperol merchandise. Cleverly integrated storage shelves doubled as a cashier counter, and a second XL LED Aperol sign illuminated the hut, ensuring it was both functional and eye-catching.
The Terrace
The terrace was fitted with two large parasols, and we worked creatively with these features. One was transformed into a giant orange Aperol Christmas tree, decorated with twinkling lights and an Aperol glass cutout, creating a stunning focal point. For the second parasol, we carefully considered its height when closed, surrounding it with our custom designed modular seating and high tables, to create an inviting area to enjoy an Aperol Spritz. Small pine trees were added to the planters integrated in the modular seating structures providing extra festive cheer.
The Entrance
To entice and greet visitors, we designed an illuminated Aperol arch at the entrance ramp, adorned with festive lights that echoed the design of the Aperol Christmas tree. The path was lined with an orange carpet and decorated Christmas trees with sparkling lights, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
